Hi all, have 2 questions, problems?

Does anyone else have a high pitched whine when the the fans reach around 2500RPM? I have not determined which one it is yet, or if it is both of them. Just wanted to see if anyone else has this issue?

Also it seems since the last technician was in my laptop my tactx keys no longer light up, the ribbon cable is seated correctly and upon further inspection it looks to be torn where it goes into the plastic wrap on the back of the KB, I do not want to have another tech in my laptop if possible and was wondering if anyone knows where I could order this ribbon cable from? I need to get the part number but don't have time to disassemble the laptop right now....Anyone know it off hand?

    Thanks.

The fan whine is normal. I only hear it by the way when it goes from faster to totally idle. It is modulation noise from the type of fan used.

I also have the fan whine when going from full fan speed to idle only for a short few seconds i hear the whine...there's supposed to be a tech calling me to set up an appointment to replace my fans.

But am worried that they will mess something up like you have mentioned...

That fan whine isnnormal with pwm fans..... replacing them would be useless.
