Just wondering if anyone had any info or idea or even best guess when we might see the new gpus hit the Alienwares? Been hanging on for a few years still using my Alienware 14 daily since 2013 but only want to upgrade to oled, 1440p or 4k with min 75 hz (100/120/144 would be awesome).
Hoping that with the 3xxx series cards they might introduce some higher refresh rate panels and finally I can splurge on a new machine.

    Earliest will be Feb/March

pretty sure that's when we saw 20 series and 20-super series start popping up.

Widely available probably May/June. At the earliest.

That’s great to know I didn’t follow the 20 series Release with the alienwares so wasn’t sure about the timeline. I can’t wait

Not sure the comparison with 20 series will hold. 51M with RTX 2080 was released in Jan, m15 followed like a month later. This time around there seems to be a shortage of silicon, so yeah - might have to wait longer. March etc. Who knows the impact of winter corona.

Just waiting to see what they do with Ampere, as its very power inefficient relative to Turing, but it is also a lot faster. I imagine all but the 51m R3/Clevo 17" will run Max-Q VBIOS relative to desktop TDP

I don’t think you should expect this anytime soon. It looks like only low tens of thousands of the desktop cards have been made so far. Demand is way higher than supply and if nvidia is smart they are pumping out the 3080/3090 chip to maximize profit.

Spring 2021 earliest. Once nvidia announces it, it will be a few months till Alienware has it ready. Best guess would be March or later, so quite a while to go
