    Hi All,

    I have an Alienware 17 R2 | Windows 10 | Eset Smart Security 9.

From 2 months ESS is giving me an alert saying that I have a windows update available for one of the drivers called - "HUAWEI Technologies Co., Ltd. Other hardware - Huawei System Firmware 1-0."

I have checked windows update multiple times, even after checking the box - updates for extra features/ programs, but it always tells me I am up to date. I have manually checked device manager and tried updating the system firmware, but it did not update.

I'm really curious to know what is inside the Alienware which is built by Huawei. I do not even have a Huawei phone which was connected to this laptop ever.

What can it be guys? I do not just want to get rid of the message by disabling it in ESS because it gave me a list of around 10 updates to drivers which I was able to manually achieve by going to device manager, checking hidden devices & manually updating drivers of a few ones under the group System Devices. It is just this one I am unable to find. Please help.

No idea where it comes from then. I have 0 references of Huawei hardware in my AW15R2 and I never came across this in the AW15R1 which has the same motherboard as the AW17R2.
