I just installed the new Doom game on my Alienware 17 R3 4K 980m 8gb laptop and when I go to run the game it only comes up in the corner of my screen filling 25%.
Can anyone help please?

Set the resolution to full screen in the game settings.
-
Hows the game?
-
I have come across this before in some games.
Check the Intel control panel and make sure the scaling mode is set to scale full screen. -
its pretty spiffy if you like a more oldskool style shooter. I am now 4 hours in the story mode.

Stil waiting for liberated version of the game

Liberated version?

I think it means the pirate version
Have you downloaded the latest nvidia drivers? Before that I could open the game but I had massive stuttering and low fps. Now steady 60 fps on ultra! -
Get latest driver from nvidia, do what the poster above said about full screen scaling in intel HD control panel. On my 980m the game runs beautifully. 3440x1440 ultra minus motion blur and i'm averaging 45fps. Only FXAA since the res is high enough for me.

Even better, just get the new driver, set the resolution in game to 4k, then in the Advanced settings scale the game down to 51%
The game will then play in 1080P but the UI will be nice and crisp using the 4K. I had this issue yesterday. -
Doom for me has other issues. It has diagonal screen tearing. These issues are also documented on the nvidia forum but nvidia didnt fix this issue for various games for over more than a year now. It only happens on mobile gpus. Othwr than that is runs pretty well.

I'm having the same problem. I can only get it to run fullcreen at 4k res. Anything else, like 1080p, only runs in windowed.

dude that's really not cool with such a great game

I suspect because it is an OpenGL game and Intel iGPU drivers collide with that.
