What are the dimensions and Weight of the Alienware 15? Preferably in mm and kg, though I can convert from inches/lbs if necessary.

Also - what's the battery capacity and how long can it be expected to last on the battery for non-gaming use (email, we browsing, MS Office etc.)?

The battery life will depend on the power options that you select and what you do on the machine. It's usually around 2.5 and 3.5 hours on basic stuff.

I'd hope optimus would bring that higher. 2.5 hours sounds like having the main gpu active the whole time.

I was expecting better battery life given the size and weight of the thing, I'd assumed that meant that been able to put a decent-sized battery into it

There's a massive 92 wh battery inside that somehow still translates in poor battery life. I was disappointed too.

Is the battery removable? Can it be configured for not charging (like previous models) if it its gonna be always connected?

You can right click the battery icon in the lower right and put it into Desktop Mode. This allows you to set it to stop charging once it gets to a specific percentage.

92W battery? Only gets around 3 hours? That's terrible! Take a look at XPS 15 and their 91W battery achieving over 6 hours on regular browsing!

Hell my alienware 14 only gets and hour and a half. Three hours will seem like a gift compared to the 14's performance. o_O
