Getting this screen tear in OpenGL games and it seems to effect many who use Optimus + Win10. One workaround is to disable the Intel GPU in BIOS, unfortunately I can't seem to find a way to do this on this laptop. Any suggestions?

It's impossible to disable the iGPU in Optimus machines, since the panel is wired to it.

Newer alienwares with soldered GPUs can't switch to PEG. Panel is hard-wired to iGPU, your secondary gpu is in its jail. @SkidrowSKT is right.

SOme newer models have a software MUX switch. there the iGPU can be disabled. BUt the AW13R3 with the oled panel doesnt have that option.

Try disabling v-sync and/or messing around with the Fullscreen settings (I forget the exact name of the setting, maybe Exclusive Fullscreen - although it might be something else). But I've found that disabling v-sync fixes the tearing in every case it's come up in for me.

I've attempted all outcomes. VSync on and off in both Intel and Nvidia properties. Windowed, full screen, windowed fullscreen, all exhibit the same diagonal tear. I've even tried frame rate limiters, no change.
The only surefire way is to downgrade to Windows 7 as going to an older driver that doesn't have this issue isn't an option for this laptop.
