Hello all, I'm here to tell my frustrating experience of buying a dell product.
I first purchased my laptop on 12th of September expecting to receive it by one week or two, as we all thought. However, in the invoice of the order I noticed that my laptop would delay 1 month to arrive. To find out why would take so long, the seller didn't mentioned it anytime before, I sent him an email asking the reason for that, then he answered me justifying (the reason was the 6th generation processors). At this point we could all understand and be kind of happy about this huge delay.
After some time having trouble to create and validate the order (dell was passing through a lot of ~problems~) I finally received the final order email. That person thought: "OK, no more worries...". Somebody should told me: "You now nothing Marcelo Gomes.".
Some days later my order status changes to cancelled. There I was trying to discover the reasons. The seller told me that dell was passing through a lot of issues again, BUT in order to guarantee a happy buyer he offered me a free RAM upgrade. From 16Gb to 32 GB (yeah, thats right. he even sent me a new dell offer with those specs). In that moment I was pretty happy. The one month waiting was totally explained.
Unfortunately, he contact me later to say: " our Production team stating they do not have 32GB Memory available". Honestly, I was kind of sad, but I would still receive the laptop that I was paying for (Alienware 17 with 970m, 16GB, 256 SSD, English Keyboard and 1080p screen).
Some cancellations passed and just 3 days to the deliver it (yesterday, 19th of October) dell does its biggest mess. They charge me again for the laptop. Leaving my debit card with -800 of balance. To clarify I'm currently studying abroad and my government aids me through that card, so I use it to buy food, clothes and everything else. That wasn't the biggest problem, my college reserved one time to international students take their visa here in Ireland (that day was yesterday 19th of October). In order to receive my visa (actually it is called GNIB card) I had to pay 300 euros (~happy~ fact, they only accept credit or debit card). I managed it asking for my girlfriend use her card to pay for my GNIB. Until now the seller neither Dell said when I will be refunded ... (Maybe I will have to enter in justice about it, this is so awful)
To finish this history, yesterday I received my product. In order to fulfill my happiness with Dell they sent me a laptop with the Irish/UK keyboard (I didn't notice that in the final of several orders. They changed the keyboard layout) ]. This was my moment of ~joy~ with this company. I hope to receive my money back soon so I can be as far as possible of it. This was definitely the worst purchase experience in my life.
PS: Sorry about my English, I'm not a native speaker of the language so there could be errors or misuse of some words.
PS2: I'm looking for suggestions of how I should proceed now. If you passed through it, please tell me what you've done.
Signed, Marcelo Gomes.
