If you are on 1.2.x, don't upgrade directly to 1.3.12 but choose the major version of 1.2.x and then update to 1.3.6 then 1.3.10 and finally 1.3.12.

Fernando from win-raid warned that downgrade to 11.0.x will be difficult that's why I didn't bother updating. Although latest BIOS does not cause severe throttling at 90C on PCH but throttles to 2.6Ghz.

How did you do the upgrade of the ME firmware? When I check my current firmware with MEInfo, it says that Local FWUpdate is disabled.

Ok got an update for you all i updated the bios from my factory loaded 1.2.14 bios, to all the current bios and drivers. I have noticed they have corrected the scaling of items and 4k looks just as readable as 1080p! Also so far ran gtav for about 30 mins and noticed the fans are slightly higher rpms and the temps on the gpu were around 70c. No problems yet except my 1 dead light pixel :/

Did the dead pixel happen after the bios update?

Nope it had 1 dead pixel with original bios i did all updates and no change. Its smaller than a dust particle though so i dont know if it will be worth rma right now.

Ok even better update on 1.2.14 bios (The original load) when gaming it was reaching 70c cpu and some spike to 80c. After testing for 3 hrs straight on newest bios, the temps on cpu were fluctuating from 49c to 58c then back down, so much better fan profile and not too loud either. The game was gta online for both test. I had one blue screen reset, and that was because of dell support assist app. Uninstalled it and no problems.
