    Cooling Pad, Should i use one

    Is it better to use Cooling pad or it result more in collecting dust ?

    Given that these laptops have sufficient cooling themselves, a cooling pad shouldn't make a difference. If it makes it more comfortable for you or raises it up enough to get a bit better cooling, go ahead.

    Not necessary by any means.

    My room environment collect dust easily, So wondering if using a cooling pad could prevent that

    For this laptop i wouldn't waste your money, the cooling is good enough. Just make sure to dust out the vents every once in a while.

    Indeed, not all laptops require/benefit from a cooling pad.

    It's usually thin, multimedia notebooks that benefit from them, as they weren't really designed with gaming in mind, and that's reflected in poor cooling.

    This is true. On the other hand, Alienware systems are designed to game and their cooling systems are great at getting rid of the heat. A cooling pad on our systems would not drop the temperature more than just a couple degrees.

    Agreed. I tried my cooling pad when gaming with my previous AW17 R2, and saw no noticeable improvement in temps.

    I use one. Just to keep the heat off my legs when gaming.

    I play games while in bed. Don't judge me.

    used to do that but current laptop is like 5 years and i can boil a egg without running game :p
