Soo just got this new computer alienware 15r2 with the 6820hk and gtx 980m 8gb

Updated the bios and installed windows to my nvme drive and had lots of sleep issues with the computer....also had issues cutting it off Through my fresh install of windows.

So right now when I press the power button with the ac adapter out.........nothing happens when I plug the adapter in the alienhead lights up......but that's it.....

Tried pulling the battery and everything but no luck......

Sounds similar to the problem i had after upgrading to the latest bios. I could turn mine one after pressing the power button like 3 times in a row. Sleep issues remaines until i got a motherboard replacement.

When you pulled the battery did you press and hold the power button to power drain?
Sounds silly but this does indeed release energy from capacitors and such.
I cannot tell you how many laptops and even desktops that this needed to be done to resolve the issue.
