I received my 17 R4 this week and I'm unable to install the latest Nvidia drivers. I'm only able to update to drivers listed on the Dell support page, but they are outdated by many versions. Unfortunately this means I can't play Battlefield 1 or other games that require current drivers. Anyone else experience this problem? Is it typical for Alienware to only allow Dell approved drivers?

No, it takes 1 or 2 versions of NVIDIA driver until the hardware IDs from Dell are recognized. Write umar in Twitter. Maybe je can speed up that process. Or just "build" your own drivers... just google a bit. I dont have a link Right now

I used this guide here http://null-bin.blogspot.com/2015/08/how-to-modify-nvidia-notebook-driver.html
Annoying but what can you do.... -
It's kinda sad that were STILL having this problem after this long. When the lineup first launched I could understand it but why this becomes a problem again after this long is just...ridiculous.

Eep. Is there any way to get in touch with Dell or NV to speed this up?
I have both an 13R3 and 15R3 on the way and it would be quite annoying to not be able to install the latest NV drivers. -

Can anyone confirm whether the new drivers are available for Kaby lake machines through the GeForce experience app now?
No update is detected on my Kaby lake 13 from the GeForce app.
