    Hi all.

I have a 17 R3 with the 6700hq and gtx 965m, i want to overclock past 135mhz but as we all know the overclocking is limited on stock VBios, so i turned to Prema for help but all i could find were modded VBIOSs for the 970m and 980m, with the 965m vbios only available for the 17 R2.

And everywhere else i searched i couldn't find a VBIOS for my configuration.

Can someone lend me a hand please?, i'm pretty techie but not techie enough for modding the VBios myself.

i wouldn't bother trying to squeeze anything out of a 965M, its not a top end GPU and probably the reason you cannot find anything.

not 100% sure but i thought you could use that bios for the R3 as well. as long if the video ram amount is the same.

The difference between the AW15R1 and R2 980m bios for example is that the the R1 came with 4GB ram and the R2 with 8GB ram. So if I would use the R1 bios on mine, the GPU cannot allocate the last 4gb of ram anymore.

i beg to differ, the 965m has great oc potential, i've seen people get a stable 1350mhz with it, going up from 950mhz that's quite a big jump.

the card runs on the same chip as the 970m and 980m with disabled cores, so technically it can run at the same voltages and wattages safely

i was going to before but i'm not sure if there would be an interaction with my other components since premamod are giving a pretty firm warning about using VBios not made for the laptop MODEL.

@judal57: I am not able to flash prema mod. nvflash shipped with prema mod doesn't detect my GPU even after powering up gpuz. I think @Prema might help me. I tried latest version of nvflash 5.3 it returned an error stating "Cert error or something". As of now, bypassed certificate version of nvflash 5.3 isn't uploaded.
