I'm on the latest Killer Wireless 1525 Wifi Adapter drivers, which was recently downloaded and installed from the Killer Networks website.

The GIF shown above is me enabling the WiFi adapter when the connection gone out. Here's the entire course of events:
    1. Mindlessly using Freenode IRC to chat with others.
    2. Created error in requesting Freenode server messages.
    3. Checked to see the Killer Wireless 1525 Wifi Adapter is disabled by itself.
    4. Went to try enabling it.
    5. Repeat what's happening in the above GIF.
    6. No choice but to restart laptop.
    7. Laptop ended up not being able to restart on its own. Had to force shutdown by holding down Power button for 5 seconds.
    8. Reboot.
    9. Laptop returns to normal after logging in.
    10. After several minutes, when logging back into Freenode, repeat Step 1.

Intriguingly, the Windows Event Viewer logged some strange error codes:

I'm still thinking it may have been the Killer Wireless 1525 drivers, but I really don't know at this point. Any suggestions?

Have you tried un-installing the driver via device manager and removing the driver from the system? Then reinstall the latest drivers?

That should help. You can also try doing so from safe mode if you can't on normal mode.
