Just as the thread says, i have had an issue where coming from suspend lid close, or hiberante, I would be met with a black windows screen.

I was on the latest 29/01/2016 drivers from Intel.

Trying everything out there, i ended up installing the Dell 22/01 drivers for Intel HD Graphics - EVen though the drivers are older than the intel stock drivers.

This has cleared out my issue - I can now use the machine fine from suspend - hibernate without having to power down and reboot - the screen correctly comes on.

Just in case anyone else is experiencing this issue - use the Dell Intel HD drivers.

Thanks for sharing what worked out for you. I was about to come in and ask you to reinstall both video drivers haha.

guessing you would suggest to use the Dell drivers Vs the Intel drivers? I would rather be on Intels release cycle, but it appears this machine requires Dell customised drivers for this type of behavior...

I wouldn't be so sure, I had exactly the same issue with my old Latitude E6410 except it was with a dedicated Nvidia NVS 3100. Same thing would happen, close the lid and go into sleep/hibernate, open lid to be greeted with a black screen. Only a reboot would get the screen back on.

I went back to "Dell" drivers and the problem went away however, those drivers were archaic to say the least. A little while later I tried updated Nvidia drivers and still no problems.

It's quite possible the next release of Intel drivers could sort the issue for you......

I seem to have a simillar issue on/above OC2 only: screen is sometimes black after resume. I do run Dell Intel HD drivers, so it's probably something else.

Upon reading your post, my first thought was a lack of power or something to do with power states.

Are you using the OC presets or manual setting? As I understand, (because I don't have the 6820HK myself, unfortunately) the best way to set up your overclock is to use OC1 and then manually change the settings up to OC2/3 levels. I'm sure you've seen this but - http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...-settings-for-4-0ghz-to-4-3ghz-stable.787791/

Happens both on OC2 or OC1-derived manual setting with the mults mildly manually upped, e.g. to 40-39-39-38.
