When I try and go full screen on any site such as youtube, by using f11, mtv.com etc, when I click full screen, all I get is a black screen with sound. I have my laptop plugged into an external monitor... its a LG 21:9 if that helps.

Switch to Firefox. I assume you're using Chrome. I have the same issue with Chrome, Firefox works fine no matter if it's Flash or HTML5 video. There's a workaround to install a different Flahs plugin into Chrome, but it didnt fix it for me.

I have the same problem with my 21:9 inch monitor, but only when it's running through the AGA. No idea what the problem is :/

Try disabling the Intel graphics in device manager.
