I just got my alienware 15 about 23 hours ago and i decided to do a bios update as i felt that the machine was kinda hot during idle. and from what i read the a00 had the coolest bios of them all and then this.

I did a BIOS update(well technically a downgrade to a00 from a02 and it froze up with a blackscreen but lights still on and fan going in full speed. it was running for almost 40minutes until i decided to open the laptop up and disconnect the battery. now I cant get it to start. I tried to do this
    Turn off the system
Unplug the AC Adapter or the power cord
    Unplug the battery
Press and Hold the power button for 30 seconds
    Connect everything back
Press and Hold the Fn key while turning on the system, let go when you see the Alienware logo
but i cant seem to get the machine started.
    What do I do?

Not sure if they have given out the method to reset the bios in the echo line "unless Im mistaken" you might have to just phone tech support they might tell you....... And if they do please let me know the sequence to resEt the bios :D as i would like to try out a custom bios but wasn't aware they released the sequence.

    Hello jpsm,

Feeling bad about your problem :/
You have to unplug the battery + the coin-cell battery of the motherboard. Yes this coin-cell battery is the last power for the bios... so you will need to remove it to make a clear CMOS.

This is a hard process, so if i were you i will simply call Dell, also because your computer is new.
