    I used a SATA Samsung Evo in my 15r1, but I'm a little clueless on the best options in the smaller M.2 category. Are the slots PCIE high speed compatible? Please suggest some of the top 500gb drives. Thanks a ton!!!

    Yes, for sure the 15r3 have pcie m2 port, so there is no problems to use nvme ssd

    I think that the 960 evo 500go nvme is a great choice, if you can afford it, take it !

    After for the ram, i think that yet, the micron's saled with the 15r3 are ok, from the moment you got 16gb, there is no need to buy other ones...

    May be in few years, when they'll decrease the cas

    So I covered the upgraded SSD, but can any tell me what type of RAM is needed. This 15r3's ram style looks a little different from my 2015 A 15.
