Hi guys, does anyone have a really good fan setting table for both the CPU and GPU which I can copy for my AW 15 into HWinfo? Are the default values any good? Or should I alter them a bit?

The maximum each fan I believed is around 6100 rpm.
I make the fan follow Dell original bios fan speed in A06 and a bit Higher speed then original allow.
    45 c - 2600 rpm
    50 c - 3200 rpm - a bit noise but I didn't notice much
55 c - 4600 rpm - this is normally maximum speed when let Dell BIOS control the fan
    60 c - 5400 rpm - this hardly to see it happen
    75 c - 6000 rpm.

I want my laptop cool so it pretty high in fan speed. If you don't want to have much noise, increase the degree. Oh, I forgot, you must enable Dell EC to have different fan speed rpm.

Thanks so much for the reply! I have it as Compal EC as Dell EC only has 3 fixed fan settings which you can't change. And do you think I would need the fans going over 5000RPM do you think?

Yes, Compal EC is when enabled EC support in settings :D

It depends on where you are living. I live in tropical country, it's pretty hot so I make it to highest when reach the CPU of 75 c and this is hardly happen when heavy gaming. I can hear my CPU fan kick in that high in couple seconds and go back to 5400 rpm, so it is good for me. My GPU has never go beyond 75 c, so I make it around 5200 rpm. When playing games, you should check for the highest peak of your CPU temp, if it is under 85, the fan speed 5400 rpm is pretty good so far (maximum level 3 of Dell EC). There must be a reason why Dell original does not reach over 6000 rpm, so we should play it safe if we don't want to risk our CPU fan life.

Thank you once again for the reply! I live in the UK and it is now winter time and it can get very cold outside! I have 2 fan tables built and both are 100% completely stable and I never go past 75C now even under extreme load such as intensive gaming! Which fan table do you think looks better if you was to choose one? Here is what they look like:

    CPU/GPU #1

    0 C - 2500 RPM
    45 C - 3000 RPM
    50 C - 3500 RPM
    55 C - 4000 RPM
    60 C - 4500 RPM
    75 C - 5000 RPM

    CPU/GPU #2

    0 C - 2000 RPM
    45 C - 2600 RPM
    50 C - 3200 RPM
    55 C - 4000 RPM
    60 C - 4600 RPM
    75 C - 5000 RPM

I would choose #2, and at 0 c, I think you should turn off the fan. There is no reason to make the fan run continuously when it is under 45 c which is a very stable idle temperature :)

    0 C - 0 RPM
    45 C - 2600 RPM
    50 C - 3200 RPM
    55 C - 4000 RPM
    60 C - 4600 RPM
    75 C - 5000 RPM

i was playing dota2 earlier and i noticed my fps drop drasticaly so i restarted the game and it was gone but after a min or so back to 60fps but when i turned hwinfo on it went back to normal. apparently gpu/cpu is throttling. what must i do so that when i boot up my pc i wont have to open hwinfo?

the new intel CPU cant hold the turbo boost for more than 2 and a half minutes ( i found that the max frequency it can hold on four cores without downclocking is 3.0Ghz, you can use intel xtreme utility to reduce the cores multiplier ) don't worry, all the chips have this problem 4, 5 , 6 generation of intel mobile chips.

How do i do this exactly? I am new to this cpu thing so i really dont know what you mean. I already made a stable fan profile so far no downclocking but if reducing core multipliers is more effective then i would love it if you could tell me how to do it
