    Hi all,

So my R3 seems to be really under performing when it comes it battery time.
I have 99whr battery as well. On the average day on the balance profile all I can manage is 3 hours. Thats 50% brightness, using wifi, spotify running. my discharge rate is 51,000mv on average.

I know I have a gysnc panel and that doesnt help as I can't use the intergrated graphics. Surely though I must be able to get more than 3hours?

If anyone has any advice that would be great.

3 hours sounds about right for a gsync panel. The NVIDIA GPU sucks up quite a lot of power.
You could gain a little extra by changing your advanced power options:
Set maxium processor state on battery to 98% (this will disable CPU turbo boost).
If you're using Windows 10 enable battery saver to turn on at 100%.

Unfortunately you'll struggle to get more without Optimus and the power savings it provides by using the Intel onboard graphics. GSync connects the monitor directly to the NVIDIA GPU and prevents the use of the Intel onboard chip at hardware level.

Use throttleStop to define your custom profiles for battery and AC. For battery, undervolt max, disable turbo and switch to power saver mode w/ BS(Battery Saver) turned ON. Also, the lights consume 4-5W for static lighting and max 7W for dynamic lighting.
