    Aw 17 R4 - how do you clean the fans?

    Hi guys. Looking to buy this beast in the future and was watching a few vids on the internals of the machine. I noticed it didn't look like you could the remove fans. Can the fans be removed to clean dust from them and the vents?

    The external bottom plate is easy to remove (7 screws, no warranty tag), and you can used a compressed air can to easily blow it out from there. All of 5 minutes i would guess. However, to remove the fan/heatsink assembly (they are one unit) requires significant disassembly. That said, given that you can blow them out with air directly, there would be no need to go that far...

    That shouldn't be a problem. You can get to the fans and use canned air to clean them. You can dismantle it further, but it'd be pretty much the same result.
