Recently WIndows 10 automatically updated my Intel GPU drivers to the latest version on my Alienware 15. \\I directly noticed a problem, WHen watching for example dark webpages I instantly see the brightness being turned down to create a darker contrast, When I return back to a light screen, the brightness goes up again.

After checking my settings I made sure everything is set on high performance, I turned adaptive brightness off etc. But still it happens. Does anyone know how I can turn this off and do others notice the same problem?

I'm assuming you have optimus. There should be a power save setting (in the Intel graphics control panel) that allows the Intel graphics driver to change certain settings to save power (like lowering refresh). You could see if maybe that setting got enabled.

Only the on battery mode has those settings. But it seems to be fixed after reinstalling all the graphic drivers. I hope it will stay this way. A lot of other laptop users seem to have similar problems.
