Hey another question, have the 51m and a aw3418dw external and my question is every time i restart the external loses signal and not switch back to laptop lcd then doesn't post to logo screen, just hangs there. Have to hard boot the machine and cycle the power on the aw3418dw to post the laptop. any ideas?

Basically on my non replacement 51m if i turned my external off it would turn the laptop main back on but for the life of me i cannot get them to behave like this on my replacement 51m

looks like it is thunderbolt related still clueless why

Why don't you use the mini dp instead?

Yeah, use the mini DP connection. The TB is probably connected to the Intel graphics integrated with the CPU only.
