I got this laptop 3 weeks ago and I decided to overclock, replacing stock thermal paste and more. Ive noticed many complaining about throttling, over heating CPUs and more on stock settings. Thus, Ive decided to share with you my configuration and presets that might work for you or you get an idea on CPU/GPU values.
Unlike many others, my panel OEM is Dell and I fall into the minorities here. The first thing I noticed is RGB calibration was way off and the screen displays more "red" than "green"; this is usually called "warm" profile for TVs and some monitors. Also, this can be clearly address if you open a perfect white page or any white background, the white doesnt display as white but rather with a red hint in it.
However, windows display calibration can actually get you good results unfortunately any full screen app will ignore windows calibration profile. The good news is there is an app "Monitor Calibration Wizzard" to fix this issue and this has an excellent screen calibration approach.

Now, you need to copy the dell profile to Monitor Calibration Wizard Folder, load the profile and then w start the wizard. Save your new profile and run the wizard again, keep iterating this process till you get perfect white (of course to human eyes) and save your new profile.
At last, you can run Aida64 and then select Tools---> Monitor Diagnosis and run the test. If you can tell the difference in RGB gradianet shown below & "white" background displays clearly without a hint of Red,Green or Blue, then your screen RGB has been calibrated successfully.
You can proceed with Contrast, I myself like to leave it to default even though I cant tell RGB differences at the most left of the color spectrum above.

Overclocking RTX 2080 OC edition is trickier than predecessor pascals and maxwell. We dont have a big room for improvement since GPU boost will temporary increase Core frequency if the temperature is low, this is of course not ideal for prolonged gaming session through which Area51m Vbios has a thermal thresh holds of 78C. Im personally using Afterburner and once you click CTR+ F you can open a fan curve. The curve shows you core frequency and associated voltages.
Anyhow, here is my values and after burner profile, I managed to increase core frequency by 130 Mhz getting a TimeSpy score of 104xxx-106xxx

Note: Load After burner profile after Alienware Command Center, and after you select ACC profile.
