I’m getting a system with 16gb so it will be 2x8gig sticks. I want to upgrade to 32gbs, should I just buy 2x8 sticks or buy 2x16 sticks? If I buy the 8gbs sticks I’ll have all 4 ram slots full, is that better or will it be faster with just the 2x16 sticks?

If the RAM is all same speed, then it won't matter whether you have 4x8GB or 2x16GB.

Only difference will be, if you ever want more than 32GB the 4x8GB will require you to get rid of some ram.
