    Any Area51m owners know how to fix the thunderbolt controller issue. I installed the driver from dell website. Didn't help. It keeps showing up as base system device.

    Thanks. My guess is that the thunderbolt port is used by both the Nvidia card since it installs it's own 3.1 drivers. Since the integrated card is not active, it's showing the thunderbolt port as a base system device. I could be wrong. Just what I deduced.
