    Hey guys,

I am trying to make up my mind on what size 17" or 18" Alienware Vindicator Briefcase to order.?. I am specifically ordering it for my 17R3, but in some reviews people say that the 17" fits the 17R3 extremely tight, and they recommend ordering the 18" instead.

I already own the 18" Alienware Vindicator Backpack for my AW18; I figure this time I should buy the Vindicator Briefcase instead.

What do you guys think.?. Should I order the 17" or 18" version?? It's mainly for school & travel.

Here's a LINK to the Vindicator Briefcase.

P.S. If anyone has any better options/suggestions please feel free to share. Would like to place the order today.

I have a 17r3 and the 17" Vindicator SLEEVE. I read similar reports that the SLEEVE was too snug. I found that it fits perfectly but somewhat snug if you insert your computer upside down. The backside (with the heat vets) should be uppermost, so that the zippers glide easily around the slanted corners. Backside down and it is snug getting around the sharp corners.

FWIW, the SLEEVE is a great product and I highly recommend it. It provides great protection against scratches; it is very inexpensive; it has briefcase handles on it and a zipper sleeve for the power supply. Since I jumble my laptop and assorted goods into a rucksack the sleeve is perfect for me.

Thanks for the feedback, but the sleeve is not what I am looking for. The laptop would spend a lot of time in the back/trunk of my SUV while driving to & from school, so in the event that I am obligated to slam on the brakes for some reason; I need as much protection as I can get. I think to be on the safe side I'll order the 18" variant, even though I'd like to keep a slimmer profile for comfort. Hopefully someone on here can comment on their experience before I decide to place the order.

I'd just take the 18, that way I don't have to worry about the bag being too small.

I went for the 17" AW Vindicator Backpack and also bought the 18" Briefcase, because I figured I could use the extra space on a briefcase.

Thanks, ordered the 18" .. Can't believe it takes them up to a week to ship it. Last time I ordered, it arrived in 2 days. They must be out of stock.
