    Hey All,

Got a AGA, with a fan that sounds like a rocket, Ive disconnected the fan,
was wondering if anyone has done the same? and if so, is it safe to run with my GPU in it with that fan switched off?

Is anyone running it with the fan off and a GPU running :)

    thanks everyone

I've have the fan disconnected since a couple of weeks after I got the GA (about a year ago).
    It should be safe.

I've ran multiple GPUs in it. GTX 660 (OEM), GTX 960, R9 285, and GTX 980. I'm currently not using it, but outside me using it, the GPU I use is irrelevant to if the fan is connected or not.
You could swap out the fan with a quieter one.

Not recommended from our end, but we are aware that users have it disconnected and that hasn't caused any issues.

Yea ideally I would like to keep a fan in front. But the stock fan is SO loud. Wanted to replace it with a similar sized noctua fan to drastically minimize the noise but the connector at the end are different. Unless maybe we could splice the original fan connector into the noctua?
