    Order Total: $3484.60

    i7-9700k
    RTX 2080
    8gb Ram
    1 TB SSHD

I also placed an order with XoticPC, before Dell offered me more money back.
    Ordered: 2/18/19
    Delivered: ETA END OF MARCH
    Total: $3,394.40
XoticPC Warranty with Accidental, 3 Years
    Lunar White
    144hz/1080p/gsync/tobii
    i7-9700k
    RTX 2080
    16gb Ram
500 GB Samsung Evo Plus NVMe
    Fujipoly Extreme Thermal Pads
    Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut Thermal Paste
    Intel® 5th Generation Dual Band Wireless-AC 9260 802.11ac, 2x2 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth

I'm legitimately not sure which one to keep. The Dell unit cuts out the middle man, is already in my hands, and has 2 extra years of warranty. The Dell unit also comes with about $200 worth of rewards through financing. However, it has less ram (2x4gb) and a 1tb SSHD, which are all useless and will sit in a box for RMA purposes. I already have 32gb of CV 2666mhz ram, a 2tb ADATA SU800 SSD, and a 500GB Samsun Pro NVMe.

XoticPC is an American company that is easy to deal with. That unit will come with 16gb of 2666mhz ram, which I can shuck for other devices. I'd likely use the Samsung Evo Plus in another machine as well. Both of these are great deals, so it is a good problem to have. I'm nearing the end of my return period and I believe I will stick with the Dell. I'll use the rewards for extra power cords most likely.

    edit: Dell order returned.

XoticPC messaged me today informing me that Alienware Area-51m's should be in end of next week from Dell and would have rush processing. They will also be including "extra swag" due to the added wait.

edit: Another 2 week delay from Dell, so XoticPC notified customers. Cancelled my order through not fault of theirs. Loved their customer service the whole way through, but I just don't want the Area-51m and I got a great deal on other stuff. Hope you guys enjoy the laptop!

Is the ship date listed in the packing slip link the best date? The main confirmation page for mine says arrives 3/25 -> 3/28 and the packing slip link says ships 3/26.... Hoping that won't shift.

Well 3/28 came and went and all I got on my supposed delivery date was an email stating a delay... 4/4-4/9, my packing slip shows shipping April 2nd. They still only tell me there is a "parts shortage"... Anyone received their systems/updates?

I couldn't take it anymore. Cancelled my order and picked up a 9700/2070 system from microcenter as an open box item ($300 off!)... So I saved a good bit of money on the slower system and to have it in hand... Honestly happy with the choice. It's running very nicely even if it isn't the powerhouse that the 2080 is (in still hoping for a 2070 vbios update).

Given that quality control could get shortchanged, I would not rush an order if it were me. And yes Intel has said many times that their top end CPU's are in limited supply. They've had trouble delivering enough of them which they have stated publicly many times.
