I saw the old system has this software support by dell, it used to enable support alienFX in Windows Media Player, iTunes and Winamp. I tried all of them and can't make winamp works, iTunes refuse the lib because it is now 64bit system. I can only get WMP (32bit) works, the 64bits stuck and can't do anything.

I will happy with this enough until I figured that my right tron (right speaker) can't control the lightfx color. It runs randomly base on the default of Alienware AlienFX Media Plug-In. Is anyone have better idea for AlienFX act to music?

I'm the owner of Alienware 17 R2 but I think all 2015 lines will act the same.

Instructions are in the zip file actually, just gotta follow it. The ID for the LEDs are the same for the 15 and 17 models so you just gotta drag and drop into the right folder. I use winamp personally since it works best.

hahahaha probably not, it's not an official plugin by them lol. I think this is just a modified version from the one they released.

It looks awesome on your, But when I copy your file into my laptop, it just automatically change every sound factor and T-Pad lost all of it factor.

If you don't mind, can you post your sound energy factor by zone? For Example: Far+Center Right KB: 1 2 3 4...

By the way, can you check for me when you plug in your headphone/headset, will the sound level adjust automatically? Mine won't adjust so if I forget turn down volume, it will screaming into my head.

The touchpad doesn't work for the 17 version, also if i try to configure the plugin in winamp it doesn't do nothing, should opens a window but nothing
edit: now it works, you must configure it while it is playing or won't work, and four touch pad you must free some frequency band

I need to delete all the zone first and reconfigure again. Now everything works but not like what I want. I still need the frequency band for each of them. The touchpad works for 17. You must enable touchpad fx in BIOS or it will off in some seconds.

I don't know why you thank me when there is nothing really work out of the box. We must find it ourself and find a replacement since Dell didn't listen anymore.

Do you have any idea why my Alienware with only 2 months old have a sound problems that cause windows won't adjust volume when plug headphone in (I asked dell a lot of time, they all asking me to reinstall driver which is didn't work out)? And it has 1 dead pixel just couple days ago.

I have been using a lot of Dell laptop and them all running good until today, I want to take a chance with Alienware, and I guess I'm unlucky. High performance machine seems broken more than lower machine.

The quote was meant to be for the person that shared the media plugin.

Did you try different versions of the audio driver and the component's manufacturer one as well?

About the dead pixel... You could contact your local support via phone or chat and ask for a replacement LCD.

I use my service tag and access the driver download page from dell. there is 3 different version of the sound driver. Tried each of them and none works. So now I must leave my volume to 20 to avoid headphone blow up my head and only adjust it up when plug in to a speaker.

I was facing same issue with the trackpad as trackpad wasn't working but then i thought of messing up with the configuration and found that just by placing the t-pad from right available box to left active and voila !!!! it worked . guyz try it out hope it works for you too.
