Initially, I am only facing the heating problem for which they replaced the Heatsync on 24th Apr 2018.
After that, they've replaced the motherboard and on 3rd May and I denied the replacement of heat sync because it looks too old
    Pics Here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1CB1SgmFElUVrxBmbHLOtrSjQDA-D92YO?usp=sharing

Got the heat sync on 7th May which is more or less same as the last denied one but still, they forced me to get it replaced, something with like you can't deny it like that

This is the mail I sent them after that

Alright, So here what I observed after the service conducted on May 7th,2018
    1. Still Having Sound Issue which I mentioned in the Previous mail,
    2. light bleed Issue on screen now, :/
    3. Temperature is going up even more now, it hit 102 this time, :|
    4. Too much lag in games on medium and High setting and laptop hangs in between playing or even shutdowns also becomes unresponsive most of the time
    5. Same issue as above while watching videos too :|
My laptop condition is getting more worse thanks to the service offered by Dell.
The issue I face at the start of this case, I'm still having it plus some additional picked up too :/
For your Info: I did a complete reinstallation of windows and drivers as per the instructions from the Dell Support website.
Video: (stress test temperature after service conducted on 7th May)

Received a call today that this temp is normal and for other issues, you have to submit it to your nearest dell center which is 20km away from my location (Delhi)

I asked for this case to be forwarded to Senior Technician and this is what I received
"We apologize for the inconvenience caused to you however We have forwarded your case to next level department. You will get a call back in 24 to 48 hours of time."

May receive a call today or tomorrow.

So can anyone help me what to do in this case?? I have only this laptop in my home and usually needs it some time for a day for work :/

Also want to point out all the parts I've received is in unpacked condition (already opened by an engineer before arriving at my home), Engineer told me not to tell Dell executive about it as he requested 5-6 times for it I didn't but I have a recording of such.

I purchased this system in August 2016 and Also purchased 2 year extended warranty (with accidental).

To be honest the heatsinks look fine, copper discolors over time and those heatsinks are products quite some years ago but apart from that they look like they should .

But those temps suggest the heatsink is not making proper contact. There might be a component on the board that pushes the heatsink too high so it is not making proper contact. Also make sure he uses quality paste.

it must be in gurgaon.. not that far.. let them have the system.. onsite dint solve ur issue, in this case they might take the system and give u a replacement or just fix the problem atleast.. be patience.. even with stock tooth paste of dell i got max of only 68c when it had proper contact.. trust me its either the thermal pads are doing something.. or the way u tighten the screws.. i mean the technician.. hand over the system and wait for an update.. take a receipt when u hand over the system and confirmation mail from the rep ur talking with..

i lived in delhi.. gurgaon.. for sometime.. still not that far.. but if they deny replacement. then they must have some reasons.. new GST system screwd up replacement policy.. Yes collect what u can.. before u handover.. wait for them to reply first.. usually takes 24-72hours..and north india weather is super hot anyways. so ur ambients play good role in ur laptop temps..

Yikes that's *** High Temps ** Reaching over 90 is just insane for them to tell you thats normal.

I Repasted my Alienware 17 R3 Last year with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut Thermal Grease with Excellent results. The Video card is a Alienware Amplifier card Gigabyte Nvidia Geforce 1060 Repaste with a nice 20 degree lower from stock paste. The 970M has the same temps always stay in the 60 to 70C on high settings games like Farcry and Fallout.

Here is a my results last night temps
Hope this helps on temp reference in which you are suppose to be in your laptop.

If you see service tag listed in BIOS or in HWINFO, I hope you can get any issues sorted with dell if you have any.

Try typing that service tag at Dell site and see what it says. Check Warranty, Parts and accessories.
