    Good morning.

I am experiencing inconvenience due to the rising temperature around the earphone jack and USB while using alienware 17 r4 I purchased.

This is what I did before the problem occurred.

    1. Instead of the 1070 heatsink, you can use a 1080 heatsink
    Cpu Temperature drop.

    2. I have tried connecting the earphone to the earphone jack for the first time since purchasing the alienware 17 r4.

    3. This symptom occurs during gameplay.

I would like advice on how to solve this problem.

    Thanks you

I don't understand the issue. Isn't the headphone jack the USB port next to it sitting practically next to a heat vent on the left side?

It's closeish to the USB but not really that close to the headphone jacks.

Also that USB slot is separate from the main motherboard so there isn't a whole lot of heat that should be generated as it's just a daughter board.

My R1 had a sever heat problem in that region before but it was a defective MB.
