    Hi guys,

Just wondering if the 330watt from the m18x etc will be able to be utilised in my 17 r3 - it's overclocked 6820HQ 4.1 Ghz locked and 980M 200 core 300 mem. both are OC and I am going to test later, but I think the 240watt PSU maybe getting starved.

Any advice or first-hand experience with this issue would be appreciated :)

    Thank you.

Nobody knows the answer since we do not know the powerdraw of your components.

The internal dc in cable cannot handle the load so you risk burning that cable.

Yeah but the 17R3 also had the issues. There are multiple variations of that cable. But from what I saw the margins are very small.

You can use 330W on any dell. 6820HQ and 980M OC'ed might need that extra power. Make sure the BIOS is 1.3.10 or higher if you don't want DC_IN to be burnt.
