    Hi

I'm looking into buying a new Alienware 17 R5 and installing 2 x Samsung 1TB 970 Pro in a Raid0 config, does the SATA controller able to do it for the 2 PCIe 3.0 M.2 2280 slots?

Then install 240Gb m.2 2242 for the Factory refresh software to sit and a 4TB 2.5 SSD in the HDD/SSD slot

Does the new Alienware still have thermal issues

Yes you can raid 2 m.2 in raid 0. Thermalnissues arw probably hit and miss still. I’d plan on repasting ahead of time from the current reports.

As far as I can tell, the heat issues are still there, but you should be fine with a decent repast
