    Hi all,

So my 17R4 is simply not booting and I can't work out why? All was fine, shut it down went to use it again and now the laptop turns on fans spin lights up but doesn't seem to post, no beeping.

Tried to reset the cmos but no luck oddly it did work again once and then after shutdown it's never come back...

    Any help/advice appreciated!! Thanks

aaaaand magically it's working again, well actually it was the RAM it seems (maybe not seated correctly?) I don't really know but taking a stick out and then changing the slots seemed to sort the issue... I think it's probably on it's way out - as it lasts until Zen 3 launch I'll be happy!

Happens on my 15r2. Its a R2-D2 memory wipe thing. Happens with most AW and no evident reason why it happens.
I simply pull out battery and RAM stick to do a proper power reset!

Ah good to know, I've generally been really happy with my 17R4 - maybe it's not as on it's way out as I thought then... I wonder if I can get another year out of it then, only concern is maybe the CPU is a bit long in the tooth especially with PS5 and Series X so close to launch...
