I have bought a 1TB Samsung 850 EVO 1TB mSATA SSD for my Alienware 18. However I plan to sell my 18 soon and I found out in the new Alienware 17 R4 has no place to put a mSATA SSD.

To fully use the capability of what I can store with what I have, I want to use this:

    https://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod...231&cm_re=m.2_to_mSATA-_-17-998-231-_-Product

Its a 2.5 inch SATA to Dual mSATA SSD adapter. But, I don't want to run any RAID profiles on it, but instead as independent drives and partitions, however, according to the manufacturer for this configuration, it requires "Port Multiplier" or "Daisy Chain" in order for 2 independent drives to be detected in the BIOS.

Does it support? If not, I can try going a Raid 0, but, not really comfortable with Raid 0 due to data loss risk.
