I have been having issues with my temps. With CPU Temps going as high as 97c (7820k GTX 1080). I also have been having stuttering while gaming for short periods (30 mins) Since I have the laptop under warranty, I did not want to risk repasting myself and damaging the laptop. After having dell hooked on my laptop for about an hour and a half, they said they would send a tech to change the motherboard and the heatsink. Is it possible to provide the dell tech with the thermal paste and pads I would like to be used on the laptop? Also, has anyone had the temperature problem fixed by just switching out the cpu and heat sink? It seems to be a common problem and dont know if just changing the mobo and heat sink would fix it since there doesnt seem to be good quality control.

You can provide paste + pads but i think you have to do the swapping of pads bec i believe it is out of their scope of job. I had bad temps a swap of heatsink + thermal paste did the job for me. Goodluck! :)
