    SOLVED - Solution Here

    Hello Guys/Gals,

I am having a bastard of a time getting this to run at the right interface speed.

I thought I had it running at the x4 speed with BIOS 1.0.8, but when I flashed back to it, I can't get it there either.

    Any insights?

if you don't use the card for a high level, it will downgrade to x1
if you use it to benchmark or game, it will be x4
so you'd better windowsie games or sth and opening gpu-z to watch

So prior to posting here, I launched GPU-Z and left it in the background, then I ran cinebench, furmark and 3d mark and it was at x1. Then I posted here ;)

    SOLUTION

    UPDATED -
After using the machine without the amplifier connected, i cannot get the x4 back. I have reset the BIOS and everything.

    TLDR, it still doesn't work.

    ORIGINAL -
In the BIOS/UEFI, in Advanced -> Performance Options, enable Fan Performance Mode.

I figured this out after rolling back the BIOS to 1.0.2, then doing 1.0.6 and 1.0.8. In Cinebench, 1.0.2 & 1.0.6 are much slower compared to 1.0.8 and 1.0.9. The x4 only came on when I had the above setting enabled.
