Ok so I created Windows 10x64 Pro. install media on a SDXC card. Can't get the 17R2 to boot from it. Is there any way to get the 17R2 to boot from the SD slot? I've tried adding a new boot option in the BIOS, but when I do that, it doesn't see the SD card.

I used Microsoft's media creation tool to make this SDXC boot media.

I have tried use SD card to boot windows one time, and after several boot, my SD card just died. So I try to avoid use SD Card as boot. The USB 3.0 would boot faster.

You did something wrong then. I've been using SD cards as boot / OS install media for years. Just make sure to slide the write-protect switch to the "On" position so your data on the card doesn't get over-written or corrupted.

That's another thing SD cards have over flash drives; their write-protect switch.
