I'm thinking of getting a machine with the GTX980M, but it has a 180W PSU. I want to buy the machine from the US and ship it to KSA. I found one with an excellent price(~$1500) but it has the 180W PSU. I looked for the 240W PSU on eBay, but I'm not sure if they work with this model. Is the throttling problem solved in the recent BIOS updates? If it is not fixed, I want to get another machine with equivalent power for no more than $1700.
