    Alienware 17 HDMI input

    According to right after launch, I contacted their support, and they claim the 17 has it.

    But it's not listed. Can a 17 2015 owner tell me if it does indeed have it, or did they just lie to me?
    My m18x has this feature and I will sorely miss it, in fact it's one of the main reasons I'd consider an alienware, and may get a clevo or something else if the 17 doesn't have it.

    There is no hdmi input, only output.

    Why would they get rid of that feature? So laptops with video input simply don't exist now? the hell?

    Basically the feature has died off yes, a USB3 solution is going to be the main alternative for now.

    Theres no such thing. Thats capturing video, completly differnt than a pass through. Latency to the max if you want to use it as a screen

    I am an Alienware 17 R2 Owner, and can confirm that it does not have Hdmi In.

    It's probably left out due to all the driver and firmware handshaking required to get it past HDCP.
