These pages are nice because all of the old BIOS(s) that have not been pulled are here.
Some of which are older and not listed on Dell's normal drivers and downloads page for the model.
Plus it also has all of the drivers on one page. I find it easier to look at. :)
I grouped these two together because they are the same generation and same motherboard.

I would like to thank @sirleeofroy for posting one of these links.
    Good find!
This should be stickied as it will be dynamic and is not about a specific driver or BIOS version.

thanks for the link, btw which bios version are u using now, im having Nvme Issues, my hdd light is on for most part, tried downloading command center older ones to check, nope the HDD light is always on, and my PM951 ssd gets super hot, around 90c.. apart from that cpu / gpu runs super smooth.. im planning to reinstall windows 10 again, it was set to raid on start.. should i set it to AHCI and install windows 10, any other suggestions ??

Update : Seems like windows Nvme driver is the culprit, its causing some weird read with system compressed memory, and some other power system.. I tried Samsung pro 950 Nvme driver, runs smooth, but I get media not found everytime I restart, it goes away the second time I reboot, damn it.. I'm using Latest Dell Bios FYI..

This is to do with the BIOS I'm afraid, I think that bug has been there since 1.2.8.

It instantly annoyed the crap out of me so I rolled back to 1.2.2 and I've had no such issue since. :)

I flashed back to A00 the first bios, from there upto 1.2.2, with all default drivers + windows latest build 10586.420.. no random reads.. seems more like bios conflict with nvme drivers, hope they release a proper bios soon, other than that rest of cpu/gpu runs super smooth, 6700hq is nice, but can u guys post ur core voltage on high performance mode, and gpuz ASCI percentage.. thank you sir

My core voltage at 4GHz is 1.128v and my GPU ASIC is 76.6%

Out of interest, did you do a clean install of Windows?

Yes 4th time, reinstalled 4th time on this new system, to check on bios/driver issue, atleast now I can confirm its related to bios conflict with drivers.. wow 4.0ghz with such low voltage, my stock skylake 6700Hq 3.5 turbo at 1.2V. also there is turbo boost issue on battery with this 1.2.2..

UPDATE : seems like the NVMe driver conflict starts from BIOS 1.2.7.. I've tested 3 times, hopefuly there is a proper MS driver or Samsung driver for PM951.. or new bios from alienware.. alongside windows 10 redstone

Seems as if the BIOS above 1.2.8 have been pulled from Dells site.

How about that for, "I admit, I'm guilty, we released crappy BIOS versions." Lol

Yeah 1.2.2 is definitely the best. RUnning on that firmware for months and the only bug i come across is a slower keyrate after sleep mode and if you use the trackpade and press capslock at the same time the capslock light bugs out.

Have the same issue, however, if you install Windows 10 in non-UEFI mode and load the intel RST drivers during the install, the light will only illuminate when the SSD/HDD is actually being used. I have the regular NVME drive and a Samsung 950 Pro installed. Works fine in non-uefi mode. If I install in UEFI mode the HDD light remains on 99% of the time, but only when in Windows. It works normally during the boot process.

Yes like I said in previous post, its the NVMe Controller driver issue, I switched to Samsung 950 pro driver, the lights don't blink, but the problem with Samsung drivers when you are rebooting, sometimes it fails to detect ur OS drive, so basically we will hve to wait for new bios. Ive already posted the bugs ive known so far to the guy who deals with BIOS in Dell HQ, he is already aware, may be who knows that's why they pulled all new BIOS, they should have removed the 1.2.8 as well. thanks for ur input though.

Who here runs drivers that are different from the Dell download page? (aside from nVidia drivers)
Anyone using different Intel video drivers?
    Anything else?

well ive used almost every single driver, for each subsystems as well, you can get it from stationdrivers website, but so far Dell Drivers are most stable ones, atleast for IME, and intel Thermal ones, I tested more than 4 different versions, its weird that on some drivers, PCH above 80c causes throttling, but on dell drivers it doesn't.. few days back I had 800mhz throttle on test drivers on alienware skylake, yes it happnd, so I'm guessing the suspect here like @judal57 was saying could be PCH temps, even for R1 models, for now let the R1 users test, and regarding Intel Drivers I'm using the latest Beta driver. 4474, nothing new, some older drivers gave me screen tearing a lot.. Nvidia drivers are just a mess..

on R1 it throttles at 100°C, but is not difficult to reach that temperature without something to cool it down

I updated my drivers to 369.09 through the Windows device manager. Right-click the GPU, update drivers, search automatically.
