    I have a alienware 15 i7 4510 with 4k screen and 980m. I have 2 u2415's plugged into the laptop. 1 hdmi and the other mini dp.

The mini dp seems to flash and I cant get it to stay on.I googled it and the other guy didn't seem to find a solution. I have the latest nvidia drivers and i just used the intel tool to get the latest gfx drivers and I still have the issue. Did anyone else encounter this issue? Also when I installed the intel drivers from intel update utility it said the dell ones were newer?? Thank you all for your help!

    i have aw15 r1 and aw15 r2 both 4k

aw15 r1 has this issues, and also my aw15 r2 also has this issues, when display onto a 4k hdtv. i havn't try on pc monitor.

and what i did to fix this issues is that, connect your hdmi cable to your monitor..

and restart your pc. this fixed my flashing issues on my hdtv.

do not unplug the cable just leave it plugged in when restarting.

the screen will look like a green display with icon going all over the place and flashing screen before restarting.

both r1(4k) and r2 (4k) had the same issues, with HDMI out.

but r2 has hdmi 2.0 which i am able to get 60fps instead of 30 on r1.
