Hi mods, I searched high and low and could not find a relevant thread that would help me in my quest to search for the world's best backpack for my newly acquired Alienware 15.

The threads that came up on my search are quite old - dating back to 2009 so I am assuming that the suggestions replies from there would point to older backpacks.

I see the Orion has been heavily suggested by the forumers but I am more inclined to look at alternatives.
I want a backpack that does not scream "expensive electronic gadgets inside, rob me!".

Please delete this thread as you see fit but please point me to the correct one.

    Thanks!

I am getting the alienware 17 bag, since i travel a lot (every week) and i am getting a good discount on it. but yea its a bit flashy i guess. With no discount i would go with an Amazon Basics bag, seems pretty good, or some swiss gear, they seem solid, anyways i dont know if the 15 inches bags will fit this Alienware 15 laptop, but since you actually have it, you would know if the laptop size is too much for a 15 inch bag

I find the Alienware 15 slightly wider, thicker and longer than the regular 15 inch notebooks.
I dont have any laptop bag lying around so I can really test.
Anyone in this forum who currently have a laptop bag and is using it for the Alienware 15?

At this point, I am inclined to get this one:
    http://www.amazon.com/Thule-Crossov...6-1530237?ie=UTF8&refRID=1QVXPSBQX4H68WSBFRA9

but it looks like this Thule model is from 2012 - was hoping to get something newer

I would probably go with a 17 inch backpack just to be sure, or maybe you can go to a store check out if it fits in most regular 15 inch ones, then you can buy one off Amazon.

My main concern is that it won't fit because as you said the machine is bigger and thicker than other 15" laptops. The Orion will definitely be the best option, but if you want to safeguard the machine (not getting robbed) then you could try looking for a bag that fits the dimensions of your m15x.

I dont see the Orion backpack available here in SGP. Would have been nice if it was on the dell local site as their shipping is free.

I am now considering the vindicator after seeing some youtube reviews. My dilemma now is if the vindicator 14 will fit the AW15. The vindicator 17 may be too big for me as I am a full grown adult and quite vertically challenged. I am also looking into using the bag to carry my dslr so hopefully the vindicator will fit the bill.
