Hello,
I am using this notebook for 6 months. From about 3 month I have new hard drive Hitachi 7K1000. There was no problem until now. I switched computer yesterday and check SMART readings (I am doing this regularly). I checked that C7 value was 3. There is on action I did few days ago. I have installed new Chipset driver from Dell page that appears for Alienware 15. Version 10.0.20,A00 from 30 Sep. Before those installation I didnt see any issues with SMART for my HDD. So I reinstalled drivers to the older one from Dell site for Windows 8.1 but those was also marked as 10.0.20,A00 but only with older date. So probably Windows not installed older drivers. Then I start testing and value went to 4. then to 7. After that I installed some chipset generic driver from intel site with version 10.0.27. Again testing and 9 errors. I didnt do anything with this computer, almost not moving it or using. Also I didnt see any performance drop, Performance test as you can see on screen is good. There are no other errors on SMART. Now my question. Is it possible that installing new driver (which maybe is faulty) case some issues with Southbridge puting some wrong data? Those errors occurs under heavy load on HDD I think. Also I was working on battery, but I dont think this is the case as computer work stable. I can see right now that new update on dell site occurs with chipset driver on 6 Oct. Version is the same but package is updated... Is it possible that Chipset Driver geneartes such Ultra DMA CRC errors? Because if everything was ok, then I installed new drivers and something is wrong now with data communication, I think this may be a case. Also update of those driver on dell page yesterday is strange for me. What should I do now?

Anyone can help? Right now I have 15 errors after 355h of HDD working. On Windows 8.1 there was no issues. First errors occurs after Chipset and Rapid Storage driver install on Windows 10... Anyone got any experience with Ultra DMA CRC errors?
