    Hello together,
Does anyone know whether the 330 watts psu from the e.g. aw18 will work on the aw15 r3?

It'll work w/o any issues. And it'll work on Dell Precision's too.

I just saw that the 330watts psu has a different output than my 240watt one.

    240watts: 19,5V., 12,3A.
    330watts: 19,5V., 16,9A.

    Is that a problem?

I don't think it will be a issue since the DC-IN pulls what's required.

    Guys, just FYI,

19.5V*12.3A=239.85W this is the 240W adapter
19.5V*16.9A=329.55W this is the 330W adapter.

Almost all of the laptops from Dell/aAlienware with the same charger plug as our Alienwares run on 19.5V. I can say with certainty that the voltage delivered by the chargers will remain the same, so how do power outputs change from adapter to adapter? simple, by changing current. and this is just an example of the same.

Also, electrical loads will ask for whatever amount of power they need. I presume, that OP is trying to get a higher wattage charger because batteries deplete in high load scenarios, but, just keep in mind, that the engineers at dell might have set it in BIOS that the device ask for only a specific amount of power from the charger and the rest from the battery.

    Regards
