    Alienware 15 R2: no USB power sharing

    Has anyone else experienced this? The feature is enabled in BIOS, I think I'm trying to use the correct USB port (the closest to the power socket). No joy.

    Hey,
    when your AW is powered off,
    plug-out your usb cable then plug-in

    it should share power ...

    Nice :( It's called USB power share or something like that. 2nd page. was Enabled by default.

    Wow, incredibly this works. What dumb design, it means that if something is charging and you shut the laptop down, the device stops charging, and you have to plug out and back in to resume charging. Unbelievable.
