I have just bought this laptop, I am just wondering what you guys think of the spec - if it's any good.

    Alienware 15 R2
    I7 6820HK
    16GB DDR4 Ram
    512GB SSD
    1TB HDD
    GTX 980m 8GB
    UHD 350nit touch screen

    Thanks

    James

It's considered top of the line specs (until the release of pascal this month), although there's still higher amount of rams and storage sizes, those can be upgraded easily

    nothing to dislike about

    Nothing wrong with that

This is my spec and i'm happy with it, well other than the screen.

That's alright then, would you suggest I return and wait for Pascal?

Nice Spec Luke :) Have you got the Touch screen 4K panel too? Never seen it for sale on a R2

Nah pascal will need to be designed tested and the put into production, you'll probably see it January time in my opinion. If you intend to go into VR you might wanna wait but other wise i wouldn't.

Sorry I didn't notice you were getting touch screen, tbh I'd never use it but in never knew you could get it either.
