    Hi All,

I purchased an AW 15 R2 in June 2016 from the US (Newegg.com) and flew it back to India with me. The right AlienFX LED on palm rest was dead on arrival. I then had the warranty & ownership transferred to India which took 30 days to complete. Now when I am checking the warranty status online, the warranty has been transferred to India, but a very inferior warranty - "Return to Depot" in which you have to ship your product for repairs has been provided instead of the "Next Business Day Onsite" warranty. I thought all Alienware systems in India/ US by default came with "Next Business Day Onsite" warranty.

Last year I did the same thing when I bought my 17 R2 in the US & came to India & the warranty transfer correctly gave me "Next Business Day Onsite" warranty. I really cannot think of what happened this year with my 15 R2.

    What can I do guys?

Give Dell a call to discuss this issue, something wrong must have happened in their system when you made the warranty transfer.
