Hey guys so I am in need of some help, I just noticed today that my battery will not charge past 39%.. I was using my laptop earlier when I noticed the blinking like, it initially charged from 10% > 39% however it refuses to charge any further.

I read online that taking out the battery in the R1 is pretty complicated.. I was wondering if there is a quick way to find out if its either the battery OR the actual power brick? I should note that the power brick does get warm and show a green indicator light.

Also if I pull the power cord, it doesn't shut off, so it tells me that the battery can hold some charge at least. I have read that I should just let the battery die completely, (blinking light) then charge it off, overnight. Would this work / be advised?

Please help as to what I can do to remedy this ASAP.

    Thanks,

Try removing the battery, unplug the device and press power for 30 seconds.
Then insert battery plug power and power on.

Your battery is probably dead then.

This error has nothing to do with the PSU. The batterywear is too high and prevents the battery from being fully charged.

Strange, I had the same “Plugged in not charging error” and changed the power supply and it fixed mine, so it could be the battery, the charger, a fault on the motherboard ic or charging port. My power supply brick was also able to power the laptop, no problem. Dismissing one fix for a charging problem in favour of another is arrogant.. So my advice is if you can get hold of another charger at least try that first.
