I have tried A00, A02 and A03 by now. It seems that with A02 and A03, the temperature goes to 97 degrees when playing games and I can feel the heat from keyboard.
With A00 the temperature drops to 80 degrees but the fan goes crazy and I cannot hear a thing with the volume of 20.
Is there any way to solve this problem or do I just need to live with that? Does the new A04 solve the problem?By the way the video card is 970M so I don't need the hybrid thing.

There's a new BIOS update coming. As soon as we have it, we'll post it here on the forum and our main channels.

Is the new BIOS gonna solve this problem or not? I mean there were A02, A03 and A04, none of them seems to work.

Yeah, Only heared bad performance scores from ppl who are using the A04, I am currently still using the A03, and the temperatures tend to go up to 90 in my case, But when I play witcher 3 for example, a very demanding game, My cpu clocks drop to 1.5Ghz. This is really bad

Well I'm on the A02 BIOS, and my max temp never go beyond 81C for CPU and 75C for GPU, and the games I play are Battlefield 4, GTA 5, AC Black Flag, The Witcher 2 etc with most setting at High or very High with AA, Ambient Occlusion, Post FX off.

So either the BIOS seem 'faulty' or your computer might need a re-paste.

So you mean that A05 is on the way? And there is a chance that fans will at last keep our CPU more less in normal temps?

This is great news. I hope at last this bios will allow me to enjoy A15 as I want to enjoy it. This is really great machine. Only bios must be fixed...

You can try A02 in the meantime. It's under "other versions available" on our main site (under the BIOS tab on the drivers page).

I am using A02 right now. But I hope lower temps will be observed on A05. The best thing would be one option in BIOS. One for quiter fans but higher temps and second for lower temps and louder fans. So everyone could make a choice. And everybody would be happy.

Fan profile is not the only issue...
i got heavy throttling with 980 i74980 under bios a02 and 240w psu undee gaming conditions.

only bios aoo prevents this situation in almost all cases
But with an overclocking of the gpu that is another story ...it thottles again under heavy load and there is no solution in my knowledge for that. .
it even manage to shutdown the psu under skydiver which is a power consuming test.
there is a deep problem somewhere maybe coming from the fact that the machine has been designed for a 180w psu and i doubt that a simple new fan profile will resolve everything

So let me get this right... A04 came out and still there is a problem where support suggests going back to A00 or a02? so A01, a02, a03, & a04 all have issues?
This seems highly unusual. This is frustrating to be happening with such an expensive boutique machine.

I hope that A05 is the saving grace. I'm a long time Alienware laptop buyer. I have purchased 8 Alienware laptops in the last 6 years. I honestly must say I have experienced somethings recently that is hurting my opinion about AW. Now with that said... there really isn't another gaming brand that has the support and warranty AW has so Im stuck just hoping that AW will go back to caring about their quality and customer service.

P.S. For the record Im not the only one that feels this way. I have been on here for a long time now and I have a couple long time friends that WERE also dedicated AW customers. Their opinions are also changing. Take note Alienware, we know you read this; Whether you care or not is the real question.
